Christmas countdown calendar

Two years ago (or maybe it was last year-I have a terrible memory for this kind of thing) I participated in a Christmas countdown calendar swap on the Cricut messageboards. 25 of us each got one number, made 25 of the same thing and ended up with 25 pieces for a calendar. I can't find the original thread on the message boards because it is too old.

I love our calendar and wanted to do one on my own. Who to give it to? I wanted it to go to someone I know would appreciate it. Now, I don't need accolades for my work but when I work on something this time consuming, I want to know the recipient isn't going to just toss it out next year. I gave this calendar to Ellie and Angel today.

Many of the pieces were directly inspired or copied from our own calendar so I will not say every piece is my own idea. I took pictures of a couple of my favorite pieces too.
I would love to make more of these. I love doing Christmas themes! So fun.

Pay It Forward Pictures

On my regular blog I participated in a Pay it Forward. Since I have finally finished them and given them out, I can post a few pictures.

This is a box I made for holding cards and then I made cards to put in it. I love the colors on this box! The papers are from Stampin' Up and I used some to make boxes for holding my Cuttlebug folders after making this because I love it so much. The cards that follow the box are a few I made for the box. Most of them were inspired from other cards I have seen. I can't take direct credit for most of them because I usually peruse internet scrapbooking sites when I make cards. I think the cherry card was from the Pink Stampers blog.

This is a recipe box I made with some recipe cards in it. Although I really like this gift, I think it is a bit impractical. Who wants to pull out pretty recipe cards and make them a mess while cooking? Or am I the only one who gets my recipe cards messy?
Again, I like these papers and have some left over I plan to use to make something for myself. I needed a red, white and blue theme for the person I made this for but I didn't want it to look like a Fourth of July decoration.

Mother's Day Gift

I made this exploding box for my mil for Mother's Day. The papers are from a Colorbok jewel pack of cardstock I bought quite awhile ago at Wal-mart. I made one similiar for my mom but I need to get pictures from some family members before I finish it. I'll post pictures later.

This is the top of the box:

From the side:

And opening the box:

It took me less than a half hour to make the box with my new Scor-pal. It took longer finding the pictures and getting them ready. LOL

This you tube video is where I got the sizes for this miniature box. I am working on some bigger boxes for other things.

Nate's Swap

Several months ago, Nathan participated in a swap on the cricut message board that was for kids only. Everyone had a different month. The rules were 8x8 LO, one picture mat, a title and at least two elements. Here's what Nathan came up with. The dog in the hat was his idea.

Inchies and Twinchies

I'm doing an inchie and a twinchie swap. An inchie is basically a 1 inch square element for scrapbooking or card making using stamps, brads, die cuts, ribbon or anything that will fit. A twinchie is just 2 inches. They usually are made in threes.

I used the Stampin Up Perfect Princess set to make these:

The flourish and queen are embossed.

For these, I used some old CTMH stamps (D.O.T.S) I had in my collection:

Card SWAP

Here are two cards I made for a card SWAP I'm doing.

I saw this paper at Jo-Ann's and fell in love. There is just something so sweet about it. I used the New Arrival cart for my Cricut for the baby/Sweet Pea cut out. The congatulations is a stamp I've had in my stash for quite awhile.

I have had this clown stamp for a long time-I'm thinking maybe 15 years. The label says it is a Stamp Oasis Bergsma stamp. I just used markers to color him in.

Birthday Lo

This is a LO I did for a Swap I am hosting. I will be making the elements for the SWAP-obviously the pictures are mine. :-)

Hello

I decided to set this up for sharing my paper crafting projects. I know I appreciate others sharing. Now, the trick is that I will need to find a better way to get my creations uploaded because taking pictures and uploading them doesn't always look good. I will continue to work on that but who knows when I'll have time. I don't mind any comments to help head me in the right direction.
